Forming Technology of Thin Sheets

This bachelor‘s thesis deals with technology of mechanical working of the sheetmetals by cutting for rotary and non-rotary single parts. The first part deal with common dissertation about surface mechanical working, mainly about cutting and meaning of cutting gap in accordance with final cutting. The second part deals with transfer of the new pieces of knowledge from foreign technical literature of surface mechanical working. In the last part there is done an aplication on the particular component.

Garage Hroznová, Brno - implementation of slope stabilization and foundation structure

This bachelor’s thesis is focused on the technological implementation phase of realization sheeting structure with the subsequent establishment of the garage building in Brno. The work includes the implementation of technology, design of mechanical assemblies, a solution building site, budget, schedule, checking and test plan, safety and environmental protection during execution relevant construction.

Emerging identity: Žižkov district as a framework of collective memory

The paper introduces understanding architecture as a mental image, an imprint of a physical space in collective memory. It focuses on the urban qualities of the Žižkov district, a late 19th century housing development in Prague, acknowledged in discussions over its replacement by a prefabricated housing estate in late 1980s. A theoretical concept introduced by Maurice Halbwachs is applied in order to propose a perspective indicating that these qualities developed gradually over time, as Žižkov was becoming a framework of collective memory.

Contruction of the Nuclear Power Plant Temelin and its Impact on the Surrounding Countryside

This thesis is concerned with changes of countryside caused by the construction of the nuclear power plant Temelín mainly represented by the lost villages not only in the closest surroundings, but in the area of the Hněvkovice dam as well. In total, eight villages had to be cleared and great areas of farmland were transformed. The individual lost villages are briefly characterised in terms of history and then there is a description of what particularly was demolished and what has remained. The theses is based on comparison of photographs from the past with the contemporary state.

Factors affecting drug distribution and elimination and their application in personalized pharmacotherapy.

The aim of this dissertation thesis was to study the factors affecting drug distribution and elimination and to use these factors to individualize dosing. The work consists of three thematic areas: estimation of the volume of distribution and subsequent dosing of selected drugs (vancomycin, amikacin, phenobarbital) using body size descriptors; estimation of clearance and subsequent dosing of selected drugs (vancomycin, amikacin, phenobarbital, perindopril) using renal function status markers; and the impact of drug interactions on the distribution and elimination of phenobarbital. The thesis summarizes original papers on these topics. Individual pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated for each patient based on their demographic and clinical characteristics, dosing records and measured serum drug levels. The relationships between distribution volume/drug clearance and body size descriptors/renal functional status markers were examined by regression analysis. Vancomycin volume of distribution was best predicted by the total body weight. Loading dose of 10.7 mg/kg of total body weight was optimal in patients taking continuous vancomycin and would lead to reducing of median time to reach target concentrations from 17 to 1 hour.
